국문 초록

본 연구는 다양한 관광 분야에서 목표지향적 행동모형(MGB)을 적용한 연구들이 늘어남에도 불구하고, 호텔 분야에서는 목표지향적 행동모형(MGB) 이나 확장된 목표지향적 행동모형(EMGB)을 적용한 연구는 찾아보기 힘들다는 문제의식을 바탕으로 호텔 중에서 특급호텔로 한정하여 이용자들의 행동의도를 목표지향적 행동모형(MGB)을 적용하여 살펴보고자 하였다. 특급호텔 이용자들의 태도, 주관적 규범, 긍정적 예기정서, 부정적 예기정서와 지각된 행동통제가 열망과 행동의도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대하여 연구하여 학문적·실무적 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. 또한 본 연구는 선행연구들을 바탕으로 목표지향적 행동모형(MGB)을 적용하여 특급호텔 이용자들의 태도, 주관적 규범, 긍정적 예기정서, 부정적 예기정서, 지각된 행동통제, 열망, 행동의도의 측정변수를 도출하고 각각의 영향 관계를 살펴본 결과 특급호텔 이용자들의 태도, 긍정적 예기정서와 부정적 예기정서가 열망에, 열망이 행동의도에 각각 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 검증되었다. 또한 많은 선행연구들에서 태도, 주관적 규범, 긍정적예기정서, 부정적 예기정서, 지각된 행동통제 중에서 긍정적 예기정서가 열망에 가장 강한 영향을 미치고, 열망이 행동의도에 가장 강력한 영향 요인임을 호텔 분야에서도 입증하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 특급호텔은 이용자들의 긍정적 예기정서를 자극해열망을 강화하는 방안이 호텔과 관련된 홍보 및 마케팅 전략 등에 적극적으로 반영되어야 할 것이고, 또한 고객을 유인할 수 있는 다양한 상품과 대중적이미지 구축을 위한 다양한 노력으로 고객의 열망을 고취시켜 부담없이 이용할 수 있도록 노력하여야 할 것이다. 결론적으로, 본 연구는 부족하나마 특급호텔 이용자들의 행동의도에 미치는영향을 목표지향적 행동모형(MGB)을 적용하여 실증적으로 규명하였으며, 특급호텔 이용자들의 행동의도에 있어 학문적·실무적인 시사점을 제공하였다.

영문 초록

This study was motivated by the critical observation that, despite the increasing application of the Goal-Directed Behavior Model (MGB) in various tourism sectors, research applying the MGB or the Extended Goal-Directed Behavior Model (EMGB) within the hotel industry remains scarce. Therefore, this study aims to examine the behavioral intentions of users by applying the MGB, focusing specifically on luxury hotels. The research seeks to provide academic and practical implications by investigating how the attitudes, subjective norms, positive anticipated emotions, negative anticipated emotions, and perceived behavioral control of luxury hotel users influence their desire and behavioral intention. Drawing upon preceding studies, this research derived measurement variables for attitude, subjective norms, positive anticipated emotions, negative anticipated emotions, perceived behavioral control, desire, and behavioral intention using the MGB framework. An analysis of the relationships revealed that attitude, positive anticipated emotions, and negative anticipated emotions had a significant positive effect on desire. Desire, in turn, had a significant positive effect on behavioral intention. Furthermore, this study corroborated findings from prior research within the hotel sector: positive anticipated emotions emerged as the strongest predictor of desire (among attitude, subjective norms, positive/negative anticipated emotions, and perceived behavioral control), and desire was identified as the most powerful determinant of behavioral intention. Based on these results, it is recommended that luxury hotels actively integrate strategies into their promotion and marketing efforts that stimulate users' positive anticipated emotions, thereby strengthening desire. Additionally, efforts should be directed toward fostering customer desire by developing diverse, appealing products and cultivating an accessible public image, encouraging customer patronage. In conclusion, this study empirically investigates the factors influencing the behavioral intentions of luxury hotel users by applying the MGB. Despite its limitations, the research provides salient academic and practical implications for understanding user behavior in the luxury hotel context
