간호대학생 1, 2학년의 전공만족도와 대학생활적응: 사회적지지의 매개효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 간호대학생의 전공만족도와 대학생활적응 간의 관계에서 사회적 지지가 매개하는 효과를 규명하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구대상자는 일부 지역의 간호대학생으로, 최종분석에 포함된 대상자는 199명이었다. 자료 분석은 기술통계, 독립 t-검정, 일원분산분석(ANOVA), Pearson 상관계수 분석, 다중회귀분석 등을 통해 분석하였으며, 매개효과의 유의성은 SPSS PROCESS Macro 4.0을 활용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 성적이 낮은 경우(β=-.234, p=.011), 대학생활 만족에 보통인 경우(β=-.132, p=.037)가 대학생활에 대한 적응을 저해하는 요소로 나타났으며, 전공만족도(β=.488, p<.001)와 사회적지지(β=.093, p=.019)가 대학생활적응에 긍정적으로 유의한 영향력을 나타났다. 또한, 전공만족도와 대학생활적응 간의 관계에서 사회적 지지는 부분매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 사회적 지지는 전공만족도가 대학생활적응에 미치는 영향을 완충하는 역할을 하며, 이를 통해 대학생활적응을 향상시키는 데 기여할 수 있음을 시사한다. 따라서 간호학과 1, 2학년 학생들의 원활한 대학생활적응을 지원하기 위해 전공만족도를 높이는 동시에 사회적 지지를 향상시키는 프로그램 개발과 학과 환경 개선이 요구된다.

영문 초록

This study explored the mediating role of social support in the relationship between nursing students’ major satisfaction and adjustment to college life. Participants were 199 nursing students from a specific region, and data were analyzed using summary statistics, independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression modeling. The SPSS PROCESS Macro 4.0 was used to test the mediating effect. Findings indicated that lower academic performance (β= -0.234, p = .011) and moderate satisfaction with college life (β= -0.132, p = .037) were linked to poorer adjustment, while greater major satisfaction (β= 0.488, p < .001) and higher social support (β= 0.093, p = .019) contributed positively. Social support partially mediated the relationship between major satisfaction and college adjustment, buffering its direct impact and promoting better adaptation. To support successful adjustment among first- and second-year nursing students, it is important to develop programs that enhance both major satisfaction and social support, while improving the departmental environment.
