국문 초록

As an entity processing personal information, the government bears the statutory obligation to safeguard individuals' right to correction and supplementation. Guaranteeing this right is an essential requirement for adhering to the principle of quality in personal information processing. In practice, however, individuals may encounter various difficulties when exercising this right, due to issues such as the involvement of multiple administrative units in handling correction and supplementation requests, unclear verification standards, and ambiguous verification methods and procedures. In the future, the exercise of the right to correction and supplementation can be improved by establishing a unified channel for receiving such requests, as well as developing specific and clear processing procedures and verification standards.

영문 초록

政府作为个人信息处理者，肩负着保障个人信息更正补充权的法定义务，而保障个人信息主体的更正补充权，是贯彻个人信息处理质量原则的必然要求。在实践中，由于受理更正补充请求的渠道涉及多个行政单位、信息核实标准不够清晰、信息核实手段和流程不够明确等问题，导致个人信息主体在行使更正补充权时有可能遭遇各种困难。未来可通过确立统一的个人信息更正补充请求受理渠道、建立具体而明确的处理流程和核查标准等方式保障个人信息更正补充权的行使。
