국문 초록
Single-crystalline high Ni-rich cathode (LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O2, SC NCM80) materials suffer from increased interfacial resistance due to surface-related side reactions during charge-discharge process, leading to performance degradation. To address this issue, this study employed a milling method to partially coat the SC NCM80 surface with a polytetrafluoroethylene polymer (F-SC NCM80). This process effectively reduces the interfacial resistance between the electrode and the organic electrolyte while enhancing surface stability. As a result, the high chemical stability of the polymer coating improved the overall electrode surface stability, ensuring long-term electrochemical performance. In electrochemical testing, F-SC NCM80 electrodes maintained a high capacity retention of 158.6 mAh/g even after 200 cycles. This study presents a practical surface modification strategy for NCM cathodes and demonstrates the potential of an innovative polymer-based electrode coating process for the development of high-energy-density cathode materials.
