서애 류성룡의 경력역량에 대한 탐구 - 경력자본가 모델을 중심으로

국문 초록

서애 류성룡의 삶에서 그가 발휘한 경력역량을 파악하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 본 연구는 경력자본가 모델을 기초로 류성룡이 어떠한 역량을 발휘하였는지를 파악하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 활용하고 있는 경력자본가 모델은 의문지 역량(knowing-why competency), 관계지 역량(knowing-whom cometency), 방법지 역량(knowing-how competency) 등으로 구성된다. 이 세 가지 역량은 각각 경력과 관련된 방향설정, 전문성추구, 관계지향 등과 관련된 행동을 기반으로 한다. 류성룡의 삶을 다룬 자료를 중심으로 살펴보고 분석하여 각 세 역량에 해당하는 구체적인 역량을 도출하였다. 그 결과 의문지 역량에는 성찰을 통한 학습, 미래 비전제시 등의 역량이, 관계지 역량에는 상황에 맞는 설득, 타인 존중과 인정, 관계에서의 진실성 추구역량이, 끝으로 방법지 역량에는 위기관리 능력과 문제해결 능력 등의 세부 역량이 포함됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 류성룡이한 시대의 사상가이자 학자 및 관리로서 나타낸 역량이 지금 이 시대를 살아가는 개인들에게 주는 시사점을 탐색하고 이를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to find the Ryu Seong-ryong’s career competency. This study based on the career capitalist model which is composed of three career competency cluster including knowing-why competency, knowing-whom cometency, and knowing-how competency. These three competencies based on the behaviors related to the setting up the direction, searching for the expertise, and relationship orientation respectively. After analyzing the pre-existed documents on the life of Ryu Seong-ryong, this study found three specific competencies. Learning through the reflection and showing the future vision were found for the knowing-why career competency. Situation proper persuasion, recognition of others, and yearning for the fidelity were found as the specific knowing-whom competencies. Lastly risk management and problem solving were found for knowing-how career competencies. On the basis of the study results, this study provides implication to the modern individuals with Ryu Seong-ryong’s career competencies as a political philosopher, scholar, and officer.
