국문 초록

본 연구는 발달장애인의 디지털 활용수준이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고 이 과정에서 사회적 자본과 고용유지가 매개하는 이중경로를 분석함으로써, 디지털 포용의 사회경제적 함의를 밝히고자 하였다. 충청북도에 거주하는 발달장애인 301명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS PROCESS Macro의 Model 6을 활용하여 직렬 다중매개효과 분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 디지털 활용수준은 삶의 질에 직접적으로는 부정적인 영향을 미쳤으나, 사회적 자본과 고용유지를 통한 간접경로에서는 유의한 긍정 효과가 나타났다. 특히 디지털 활용이 사회적 관계망 형성과 고용 지속 가능성을 매개하여 삶의 질 향상에 기여하는 구조가 실증적으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 디지털 자원이론과 자본이론을 통합적으로 적용하여, 디지털 활용이 기술적 능력을 넘어 사회적 통합의 자원으로 기능함을 제시하며, 장애인 복지정책 수립에 있어 디지털 역량 강화, 사회적 자본 구축, 고용지원 간의 유기적 연계 필요성을 강조한다.

영문 초록

This study examines how the level of digital utilization affects the quality of life among individuals with developmental disabilities, focusing on the dual mediating roles of social capital and employment retention. Data were collected through a survey of 301 adults with developmental disabilities residing in Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea. The data were analyzed using Model 6 of the PROCESS macro for SPSS to assess sequential multiple mediation effects. The results revealed a negative direct effect of digital utilization on quality of life, but significant positive indirect effects emerged through the sequential mediating pathways of social capital and employment retention. Specifically, the findings demonstrated that digital engagement enhances quality of life by facilitating social network formation and employment stability. Drawing on digital resource theory and social capital theory, the study highlights the transformative potential of digital utilization, not merely as a technical skill but as a critical asset for promoting social inclusion. These findings underscore the necessity of an integrated approach in disability welfare policy that links digital competency development, social capital enhancement, and employment support.
