국문 초록

본 연구는 특수교육대상 유아 어머니의 장애 수용 과정 경험과 감정의 서정적 의미를 심층 탐색한다. 이를 위해 현상학적 접근을 기반으로 한 근거이론 코딩 절차를 활용하여 7명의 어머니를 대상으로 심층 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 개방 코딩을 통해 어머니 경험의 ‘내면의 첫 울림, 경험의 씨앗 틔우기’ 초기 개념들이 도출되었다. 둘째, 축 코딩을 통해 이 개념들은 ‘낯선 변화와 혼란’, ‘희망과 성장’, ‘고뇌와 재정비’, ‘회복과 연대’의 4단계 ‘감정의 계절’ 모델로 범주화되었다. 셋째, 선택 코딩을 통해 고통 속 감정 조절 및 회복 과정을 ‘숨비 소리’로 개념화한 ‘장애 수용 과정의 감정적 서정 여정’이 도출되었다. 이는 어머니의 복합적인 서정적 여정을 보여준다. 본 연구는 어머니 경험 이해를 심화하고 이론을 확장하며, ‘감정의 계절’ 및 ‘숨비 소리’ 기반의 맞춤형 지원 및 정책적 다각화를 제언한다.

영문 초록

This study deeply explores the experiences of mothers of young children with special educational needs during the disability acceptance process, with a particular focus on the lyrical meaning of their emotions. To achieve this, in-depth interviews were conducted with seven mothers while utilizing grounded theory coding procedures based on a phenomenological approach. The research results showed: First, through open coding, initial concepts representing the ‘first inner stirrings, sprouting seeds of experience’ of mothers’ experiences were derived. Second, through axial coding, these concepts were categorized into a four-stage ‘Seasons of Emotion’ model: ‘Season of Unfamiliar Change and Confusion’ ‘Season of Hope and Growth’ ‘Season of Agony and Reorganization’ and ‘Season of Recovery, Solidarity, and Aspiration’ Third, through selective coding, the ‘Lyrical Journey of Disability Acceptance’ was derived, conceptualizing the process of emotional regulation and recovery amidst suffering as ‘Sumbisori’ This demonstrates the complex lyrical journey mothers undertake whilst accepting disability. This study deepens the overall understanding of mothers’ experiences and expands existing theories, proposing customized support and diversified policies based on the ‘Seasons of Emotion’ and ‘Sumbisori’
