국문 초록

본 연구는 경계선 지능 아동을 대상으로 한 사회적 기술 향상 프로그램의 효과와 그에 영향을 미치는 요인을 체계적으로 검토하고, 통계적으로 종합･분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2025년 2월까지 발표된 국내 실험연구 중 선정 기준(PICOS)에 부합하는 학술지 논문 27편과 학위논문 4편, 총 31편을 분석 대상으로 선정하였으며, R 4.4.0 프로그램을 활용해 메타분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 사회적 기술 향상 프로그램의 전체 효과크기는 g=1.24로 높은 수준이며 통계적으로 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 사회적 기술의 하위 요소별 효과크기는 주장 기술(g = 1.56), 순응 기술(g = 1.39), 자기관리 기술(g = 1.21), 또래관계 기술(g = 1.19) 순으로 나타났으며, 학업적 기술(g = 0.64)은 중간 수준의 효과를 보였다. 셋째, 조절변수 분석에서는 활용된 매체 유형과 주당 회기 수에 따라 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며, 특히 동물 매개 프로그램과 주 1회 실시된 프로그램이 가장 높은 효과크기를 보였다. 본 연구는 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 경계선 지능 아동을 위한 사회적 기술 프로그램의 효과성과 실천적 함의에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to systematically review and statistically synthesize the effectiveness of social skills intervention programs for children with borderline intellectual functioning, as well as the factors that moderate their program effectiveness. A total of 31 domestic experimental studies published up to February 2025—comprising 27 peer-reviewed journal articles and 4 theses—were selected based on PICOS criteria. A meta-analysis was conducted using R version 4.4.0. The results are as follows: First, the overall effect size of the social skills intervention programs was high (g = 1.24) and statistically significant. Second, among the subdomains of social skills, the effect sizes were highest for assertive skills (g = 1.56), followed by compliance skills (g = 1.39), self-management skills (g = 1.21), and peer relationship skills (g = 1.19), while academic skills (g = 0.64) demonstrated a moderate effect. Third, moderator analysis revealed significant differences based on the type of media used and the number of sessions per week, with animal-assisted programs and those conducted once per week showing the largest effect sizes. Based on these findings, this study discusses the effectiveness and practical implications of social skills interventions for children with borderline intellectual functioning.
