국문 초록

연구목적: 이 연구는 중·고등학교 축구 종목 학생선수를 대상으로 진로타협 경향성에 영향을 미치는 개인적 요인(소속팀 형태, 학교급 등), 심리적 요인(그릿, 사회적 지지)과 환경적 요인(학교생활 적응)의 구조적 관계를 분석하고, 학교생활 적응의 매개효과를 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 이를 위해 축구 종목 학교 팀과 클럽 팀 소속 학생선수 425명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고, 상관분석, 집단 간 평균차이 분석, 매개효과 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과: 분석 결과, 학교 팀 소속 학생선수는 클럽 팀 소속 학생선수에 비해 진로타협 경향성이 유의하게 높고, 사회적 지지와 학교생활 적응 수준은 낮게 나타났다. 또한 학교생활 적응은 그릿과 사회적 지지가 진로타협 경향성에 미치는 영향을 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 본 연구는 한국의 엘리트 선수 육성 체계가 학교 팀 중심에서 클럽 팀 중심으로 전환되고 있는 현실 속에서, 학생선수의 진로지도와 진로교육 정책이 이중경력 기반의 다양성과 학교생활 적응을 촉진하는 방향으로 전환되어야 함을 강조한다. 아울러 진로타협 경향성을 낮추기 위한 심리·사회적 개입과 맞춤형 진로교육 체계의 필요성을 제언한다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study aimed to examine the structural relationships among personal factors (e.g., type of team affiliation, school level), psychological factors (e.g., grit, social support), and environmental factors (e.g., school adjustment) that influence the career compromise tendency of middle and high school student-athletes in soccer. Furthermore, the study investigated the mediating effect of school adjustment in these relationships. Methods: To this end, a survey was conducted with 425 student-athletes in soccer affiliated with either school teams or club teams, and a correlation analysis, independent sample t-tests, and mediation analysis were performed. Results: The analysis revealed that student-athletes affiliated with school teams showed significantly higher levels of career compromise tendency and lower levels of social support and school adjustment compared to those in club teams. In addition, school adjustment was found to partially mediate the effects of grit and social support on career compromise tendency. Conclusion: This study highlights the need for a shift in career guidance and education policies for student-athletes in Korea, in response to the transition of the elite athlete development system from a school team-centered to a club team-centered structure. It emphasizes the importance of promoting dual career pathways and school adjustment, and suggests the necessity of psychological and social interventions, along with customized career education programs, to reduce the tendency toward career compromise.
