국문 초록

본 연구는 노인의 주관적 기대감과 우울이 삶의 만족도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 연구의 표본은 2022년에 실시된 제9차 「고령화연구패널조사, KLoSA」를 활용하여, 연구모형에 부합한 4,390명의 데이터를 분석대상으로 하였다. 수집된 데이터는 IBM SPSS 25.0을 통해 기술통계, 차이검증, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인구사회학적 특성을 개인 요인, 가족자원 요인, 건강 요인으로 구분하고 삶의 만족도와의 차이를 분석하였다. 개인 요인은 성별, 연령대, 최종학력, 거주지역, 종교가 유의미했고, 가족자원 요인은 결혼상태, 주택소유 형태, 자녀용돈이 유의미했다. 건강 요인은 건강상태, 운동빈도, 치매진단 여부, 음주 여부가 유의미했다. 둘째, 노인의 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향 요인을 분석한 결과 주요변수인 주관적 기대감, 우울이 유의미했다. 인구사회학적 요인은 개인 요인의 최종학력, 거주지역이었고, 가족자원 요인은 결혼상태, 주택소유 형태, 자녀 용돈이었다. 건강 요인은 건강상태, 운동빈도, 치매진단 여부, 음주 여부였다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 노인의 삶의 만족도 수준을 향상시키기 위한 대안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study examines how subjective expectations and depression affect life satisfaction among the elderly. Data were drawn from the 9th wave of the Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging(KLoSA) conducted in 2022, with a final sample of 4,390 individuals who met the criteria for analysis. Using IBM SPSS 25.0, descriptive statistics, difference tests, and regression analyses were performed. The main findings are as follows. First, sociodemographic chatacteristics were categorized in to personal factors, family resource factors, and health factors, and their differences in relation to life satisfaction were analyaed. Among personal factors, gender, age group, educational attainment, residential area, and religion were significant. For family resource factors, marital status, housing ownership and financial support from children showed significant associations. Significant health factors included self-rated health, exercise frequency, dementia diagnosis, and alcohol consumption. Second, both subjective expectations and depression were found to have significant effects on life satisfaction among the elderly. In terms of sociodemographic predictors, educational attainment and residential area (personal factors); marital status, housing ownership, and children’s financial support(family resource factors); and self-rated health, exercise frequency, dementia diagnosis, and alcohol use (health factors) were significant. Based on these findings, the study suggests practical strategies to improve life satisfaction among the elderly.
