국문 초록

Purpose : This study aimed to systematically map the overall status and scope of both domestic and international research on nurses’ social intelligence through a scoping review with the goal of identifying key concepts, evidence gaps, and directions for future research. Methods : This study was conducted following the Arksey and O’Malley framework. A systematic search of domestic and international databases was performed, resulting in the selection of twelve studies for analysis. Results : The analysis indicated that research on nurses’ social intelligence is still in its infancy, with studies published only since 2015. The majority of these studies were descriptive cross-sectional studies(n＝9), and the Tromsø Social Intelligence Scale (TSIS) was the most frequently utilized measurement tool. Key related variables were categorized into individual, job, and organizational dimensions. Notably, no intervention studies aimed at enhancing nurses’ social intelligence were identified. Conclusion : This study highlights a significant gap in the literature regarding the lack of social intelligence measurement tools that are tailored to the specific context of clinical nursing, as well as the absence of evidence- based intervention programs. These findings strongly suggest the necessity for future research to develop a valid tool for measuring nurses’ social intelligence and to design effective enhancement programs aimed at improving patient care and fostering inter-professional collaboration.
