국문 초록

본 연구에서는 스라피언 초승수 이론을 한국경제에도 적용할 수 있을지 실증 적으로 살펴보았다. 독립지출의 경우 공적분 검정에서 국내총생산과 뚜렷한 장기 관계가 드러나지 않았다. 반면, 독립지출 구성요소들 중 수출과 소매금융소비액은 국내총생산과 공적분 관계가 있었다. 벡터오차수정 모형으로 초승수 이론의 유효 성을 검토한 결과 수출(소매금융소비액)의 증가가 초승수 이론에서처럼 생산의 증가로 효과적으로 이어지지 않았다. 스라피언 초승수 이론의 핵심 균형조정 메 커니즘은 생산 대비 투자비중이 독립지출의 변화에 반응하는 것인데 그래인저 인 과관계분석 결과 두 변수 사이에 어떠한 인과관계도 발견할 수 없었다. 결론적으 로 한국경제에서 스라피언 초승수 이론이 유효하다는 실증적 증거는 미약하다

영문 초록

This study empirically examines whether the Sraffian supermultiplier theory can be applied to the Korean economy. The cointegration test results show no clear long-run relationship between autonomous expenditures and GDP. However, among the components of autonomous expenditures, both exports and retail financial consumption exhibit cointegration with GDP. When the validity of the supermultiplier theory was tested using a vector error correction model (VECM), increases in exports and retail financial consumption did not lead to significant increases in output, contrary to the theoretical prediction. The core adjustment mechanism of the Sraffian supermultiplier theory involves the responsiveness of the investment-to-output ratio to changes in autonomous demand. The Granger causality test revealed no causal relationship between these two variables. In conclusion, the empirical evidence supporting the validity of the Sraffian supermultiplier theory in the Korean economy is weak.
