국문 초록

COVID-19 팬데믹은 뷰티산업에 큰 변화를 초래하며, 백화점 내 뷰티어드바이저의 직무 환경에도 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구는 팬데믹으로 인한 판매 환경 변화가 뷰티어드바이저의 직무 수행에서 오는 스트레스와 인지적 유연성에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 이를 통해 향후 위기 상황에 대한 대응 방안을 모색하는 것을 목표로 한다. 본 연구는 횡단적 상관 연구로, 국내 주요 백화점 내 화장품 브랜드에서 근무하는 20세 이상 성인 뷰티어드바이저 600명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 데이터는 2023년 6월부터 7월까지 SurveyMonkey를 활용하여 수집되었으며, 최종적으로 555명의 응답을 분석에 활용하였 다. 연구 결과, 팬데믹으로 인해 증가한 고객 요구와 판매 환경의 변화가 뷰티어드바이저의 직무 스트레 스를 심화시키는 요인으로 작용하였으며, 인지적 유연성이 이러한 스트레스 요인에 대한 적응력을 높이 는 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 팬데믹과 같은 위기 상황에서 뷰티어드바이저의 직무 스트레스 관리 및 지원 방안을 마련하는 데 기초 자료를 제공하며, 향후 뷰티산업의 지속 가능한 발전을 위한 정책 수립에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study aims to analyze the effects of pandemic-induced changes in the sales environment, job-related stress, and cognitive flexibility among beauty advisors, with the goal of exploring strategies for responding to future crises. The study was conducted by performing a cross-sectional correlational study. Data were collected through an online survey of 600 adult beauty advisors aged 20 or older working for cosmetic brands in major department stores in South Korea. The survey was conducted using SurveyMonkey and lasted from June to July 2023. A total of 555 valid responses were used for analysis. The findings indicate that increased customer demands and changes in the sales environment due to the pandemic have intensified job-related stress among beauty advisors. Additionally, cognitive flexibility was found to play a crucial role in enhancing adaptability to these stress factors. This study provides foundational data for developing job stress management and support strategies for beauty advisors during crises, such as pandemics, and contributes to policy formulation for the sustainable development of the beauty industry.
