국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 전국 17개 광역시도의 시티투어버스 프로그램을 대상으로, 운영유형(고정형 vs. 순환형)이 관광 콘텐츠 구성의 다양성에 미치는 영향을 규명하고자 한다. 기존 연구들이 만족도나 서비스 품질에 치중한 것과 달리, 본 연구는 운영 설계가 콘텐츠 구조에 미치는 구조적 영향을 실증적으로 분석하는 데 초점을 두었다. 방법 문화체육관광부 및 한국문화정보원의 표준 공공데이터를 활용하여, 각 투어 코스의 고유 정차지 수를 콘텐츠 다양성의 대리변수로 설정하였다. 분석 절차로는 기술통계, 독립표본 t-검정, 다중회귀분석을 적용하였으며, 요금, 해설사 제공 여부, 지역 특성 등을 통제변수로 포함하였다. 결과 t-검정 결과, 순환형 투어가 고정형보다 평균 콘텐츠 수가 더 많은 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 지역, 요금, 기타 요인을 통제한 회귀분석에서는 운영유형이 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 대신 정차지 수와 도시 규모가 콘텐츠 다양성의 주요 결정 요인으로 확인되었으며, 해설사 제공 여부는 물리적 콘텐츠 수에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 결론 시티투어 콘텐츠의 다양성은 단순한 운영 형식보다 코스 설계와 지역 역량에 더 크게 좌우된다. 정책적으로는 순환형 확대보다는 경유지 구성의 풍부화, 지역 고유 콘텐츠의 통합, 해설 서비스의 질적 향상 등 종합적 접근이 필요하다. 본 연구는 데이터 기반의 문화관광 정책 설계에 실증적 근거를 제공하며, 향후 정성적 요인을 포함한 심층 연구의 필요성을 제기한다.

영문 초록

Purpose This study investigates how operational types of city tour bus programs—specifically fixed-route and circular-route formats—affect the diversity of tourism content offered in South Korea. Although prior research has examined tourist satisfaction and service efficiency, the structural influence of route types on content variety has not been sufficiently addressed. Methods We utilized standardized open datasets covering 270 city tour programs from 17 metropolitan regions. Content diversity was quantified by counting the number of unique stops with distinct attractions per route. Using Python-based data processing, we conducted descriptive analyses, independent samples t-tests, and multiple regression models to examine the impact of route type and contextual factors such as fare, guide provision, and city size. Results Circular-route tours were found to include significantly more unique stops than fixed-route tours. Even after controlling for other variables, operational type remained a statistically significant predictor of content diversity. Additionally, substantial regional differences were identified, indicating that local characteristics also shape tour program structure. Conclusion The results suggest that operational design plays a pivotal role in maximizing the variety of tourism experiences. These insights offer practical implications for urban tourism planners seeking to enhance regional competitiveness through strategic program development. Furthermore, the study underscores the utility of data-driven approaches in cultural tourism policy.
