국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 산업관광과 문화관광 콘텐츠를 융합하는 전략이 외래 관광객 유치를 통해 지역 경제를 활성화하는데 어떠한 긍정적 효과를 미치는지에 대한 분석을 탐색적으로 접근하는데 있다. 방법 연구목적 수행을 위해 한국의 관광분야에서 근무하며 특히, 산업관광 분야에서 활동중인 전문가 12명을 대상으로 심층 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 자료분석은 질적연구에서 널리 사용되는 반복적 비교분석법을 활용하여 개방코딩, 축코딩, 선택코딩의 과정을 거쳐 결과를 도출하였다. 결과 연구결과 첫째, 한국의 견고한 경제력, 다변화된 산업 기반, 그리고 글로벌화된 문화 콘텐츠로서 한류는 외래 관광객의 방문 동기를 강화하고 지역 관광자원의 차별화에 기여하고 있었다. 둘째, 산업관광의 교육적·체험적 특성은 외국인 관광객에게 독특한 경험을 제공하고 방문 만족도를 높이며 지역 경제 활성화에 도움을 주고 있었다. 셋째, 해오름 동맹과 같은 지역 차원의 협력은 고유한 산업 및 문화 자산을 연계하여 시너지 효과를 창출하고 있었다. 결론 본 연구는 산업관광과 지역 문화관광의 융합이 외래 관광객 유치와 지역경제 활성화에 미치는 긍정적효과를 실무사례와 함께 제시하였다. 또한, 산업관광이 견학 차원을 넘어 지역 자원과 연계된 차별화된 관광경험을 창출하는 전략적 자산이며, 교육적이며 몰입적 지역 정체성 강화에 효과적임을 증명하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore the positive effects of a strategy that integrates industrial tourism and cultural tourism content on revitalizing the local economy through attracting foreign tourists. Methods To achieve the research objective, in-depth interviews were conducted with 12 experts working in the tourism field in Korea, particularly in the industrial tourism sector. Data analysis was conducted using the repetitive comparative analysis method widely used in qualitative research, and the results were derived through the processes of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. Result Research Results First, Korea's robust economy, diversified industrial base, and globalized cultural content, such as the Korean Wave, strengthened the motivation of foreign tourists to visit and contributed to the differentiation of local tourism resources. Second, the educational and experiential characteristics of industrial tourism provided unique experiences to foreign tourists, increased their satisfaction, and helped revitalize the local economy. Third, regional-level collaborations such as the Haeoreum Alliance were creating synergistic effects by linking unique industrial and cultural assets. Conclusion This study presented the positive effects of the convergence of industrial tourism and regional cultural tourism on attracting foreign tourists and revitalizing the local economy, supported by practical cases. Additionally, it demonstrated that industrial tourism is a strategic asset that goes beyond mere sightseeing to create differentiated tourism experiences linked to local resources, and is effective in strengthening educational and immersive regional identity.
