국문 초록

목적: 본 연구는 치위생과 학생들의 의사소통능력과 갈등해결전략을 파악하고, 이들이 임상실습적응에 미치는 영향을 확인하기 위한 횡단적 조사연구이다. 방법: J시에 위치한 일 대학의 임상실습 경험이 있는 치위생과 2, 3학년 학생 125명을 대상으로, 2024년 9월에 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 27.0 프로그램을 활용하여 기술통계, 독립표본 t-검정, 일원배치분산분석, 상관분석, 위계적 회귀분석으로 분석하였다. 결과: 의사소통능력 평균은 3.72±0.48점이었으며, 갈등해결전략 중 협력(3.66±0.58), 수용(3.66±0.62), 타협(3.43±0.58) 전략이 가장 많이 사용되었다. 임상실습적응 점수는 평균 3.45±0.61점이었으며 이는 의사소통능력, 갈등해결전략 중 지배, 타협, 협력과 유의한 양의 상관관계를 보였다. 위계적 회귀분석결과 모델 1에서 학년, 전공만족도, 임상실습스트레스 이상, 가치불균형이, 모델 2에서는 의사소통 기술과 지배 전략이 임상실습적응의 주요 예측요인이었다(F=11.13, p<.001, R²=.639). 결론: 의사소통 능력과 갈등 해결 전략은 치위생과 학생들의 임상실습적응에 중요한 영향을 미치므로, 임상실습적응을 지원하기 위해, 교육과정 내에 체계적인 의사소통 훈련과 상황 기반 갈등관리프로그램을 통합하는 것이 필요하다.

영문 초록

Objectives: This cross-sectional study aimed to identify the communication skills and conflict resolution strategies used by dental hygiene students and to examine how these factors influence their clinical practice adaptation. Methods: Data were collected in September 2024 from 125 second- and third-year dental hygiene students with clinical practice experience at a university located in City J. The data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 27.0, employing descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. Results: The mean score for communication skills was 3.72±0.48. Among conflict resolution strategies, cooperation (3.66±0.58), accommodation (3.64±0.62), and compromise (3.43±0.58) were most frequently used. The average score for clinical practice adaptation was 3.45±0.61 and showed significant positive correlations with communication skills and the dominance, compromise, and cooperation strategies. Hierarchical regression analysis indicated that in Model 1, academic year, major satisfaction, and stress from value conflict were significant predictors. In Model 2, communication skills and the dominance strategy were identified as key predictors of clinical practice adaptation (F=11.13, p<.001, R²=.639). Conclusions: Communication skills and conflict resolution strategies significantly influence dental hygiene students' adaptation to clinical practice. Therefore, it is essential to integrate structured communication training and scenario-based conflict management programs into the curriculum to support successful clinical adaptation.
