CEC 질적지표를 활용한 지적장애 및 자폐성장애 대상 심리운동 연구 동향 분석

국문 초록

발달장애 아동의 운동 기능의 단순 향상을 넘어, 심리적 안정과 사회적 상호작용을 포괄적으로 지원할 수 있는 통합적 접근으로서 심리운동이 발달장애 아동 중재에서 중요한 대안으로 부각되며, 심리운동 중재의 신뢰성과 타당성을 확보하기 위한 체계적 검토가 요구된다. 본 연구는 발달장애를 대상으로 하는 심리운동 실험연구의 일반적인 특징과 CEC에서 제시한 질적지표에 대한 충족 정도를 확인하고 국내 실험연구의 향후 프로그램 개발을 위한 개선 방안을 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2005년부터 2024년 12월까지 국내 학술지에 게재된 심리운동 실험연구 중 (준)집단 연구 18편, 단일대상연구 16편, 총 34편을 선정하여 일반적 특징과 CEC 질적지표에 따라 분석하였다. 분석 결과 (준)집단 연구에서는 영역 6개 중 1개의 영역에서 88.8%의 충족률을 보였으며, 단일대상연구에서는 영역 8개 중 5개의 영역에서 50% 이상의 충족률을 보였다. 그러나 선정된 전체 연구의 평균 충족률은 46%로 나타났다. 심리운동 실험연구에서 심리운동 중재 원리가 사회적으로 의미 있도록 높은 질의 연구가 활발히 연구되어 발달장애 아동뿐만 아니라 심리적 측면과 신체기능, 자신감 향상 등 다양한 측면에서 기여할 수 있도록 이루어져야 한다.

영문 초록

Psychomotor therapy is emerging as a significant alternative intervention for children with developmental disabilities, offering a comprehensive approach that goes beyond the mere enhancement of motor functions to support psychological stability and social interaction. To ensure the reliability and validity of psychomotor interventions, a systematic review is required. This study aimed to examine the general characteristics of psychomotor intervention studies targeting children with developmental disabilities and to evaluate the extent to which they meet the quality indicators proposed by the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC). A total of 34 experimental studies published in Korean academic journals between 2005 and December 2024 were selected, including 18 (quasi-)group design studies and 16 single-subject design studies. These were analyzed based on their general characteristics and CEC quality indicators. The analysis revealed that the (quasi-)group design studies achieved an 88.8% fulfillment rate in one of the six quality domains, while the single-subject design studies demonstrated a fulfillment rate of over 50% in five out of eight domains. However, the average fulfillment rate across all selected studies was only 46%. The findings highlight the need for high-quality psychomotor intervention research that incorporates socially meaningful principles of psychomotor therapy. Such research should aim to contribute not only to children with developmental disabilities, but also to improvements in psychological well-being, physical function, and self-confidence.
