국문 초록

본 연구는 기후변화 요소(정부정책, 수요증가, 비용증가, 기상이변)가 한국 제조기업의 혁신성과에 미치는 영향과 상장 여부의 조절효과를 자원의존이론과 지속가능성 혁신이론을 기반으로 실증 분석하였다. 2022년 한국기업혁신조사(KIS) 4,000개 기업의 분석 결과, 정부정책·수요증가·비용증가는 상품혁신을, 정부정책·비용증가는 비즈니스프로세스혁신을 각각 촉진했으나, 기상이변은 오히려 혁신을 저해하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 상장기업에서는 기상이변이 혁신 확률을 추가로 약 30% 감소시키는 부정적 조절효과가 확인되었다. 본 연구는 기후변화 요소별 차별적 영향과 상장기업의 특수한 대응 패턴을 규명함으로써, 기업의 기후 리스크 대응과 지속가능한 혁신 전략수립에 이론적·실무적 시사점을 제시한다.

영문 초록

This study empirically examines the effects of climate change factors—government policies, increased demand, increased costs, and extreme weather events—on innovation performance in Korean manufacturing firms, along with the moderating effect of public listing status. Grounded in resource dependence theory and sustainable innovation theory, the analysis utilizes data from 4,000 firms surveyed in the 2022 Korean Innovation Survey (KIS). Results indicate that government policies, increased demand, and increased costs significantly promote product innovation, while government policy and increased costs advance business process innovation. Conversely, extreme weather events act as inhibitors of innovation. Notably, among publicly listed firms, extreme weather further decreases the likelihood of innovation by approximately 30%, evidencing a negative moderating effect. By delineating the differential influences of climate change factors and the distinctive response patterns of listed firms, this study offers theoretical contributions and practical insights for corporate climate risk management and the formulation of sustainable innovation strategies.
