국문 초록
Purpose - This study investigates how safety factors influence user intention to adopt drone-based Urban Air Mobility (UAM) for last-mile delivery, utilizing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). As UAM emerges as a promising solution to urban logistics challenges, perceived safety plays a critical role in shaping user acceptance.
Design/Methodology/Approach - Focusing on the three safety dimensions of product safety, personal safety, and social safety, the study conducted a structured survey and applied structural equation modeling (SEM) to examine the relationships among safety factors, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and behavioral intention.
Findings - The analysis revealed that product safety and social safety had significant positive effects on perceived usefulness, while product safety also influenced perceived ease of use. Both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use were strong predictors of intention to use. However, safety factors did not show statistically significant direct effects on usage intention, highlighting the mediating role of TAM constructs.
Research Implications - The findings offer practical implications for policymakers and industry stakeholders aiming to promote UAM-based logistics services. Enhancing technical safety features and social infrastructure is essential to increase user acceptance by improving perceptions of usefulness and ease of use, particularly in the early stages of UAM deployment.
