국문 초록
While 4th industrial revolution technologies such as AI and Big Data are being applied to various defense fields, efforts to apply these new technologies to improve the operation and maintenance of defense information systems have been relatively insufficient. In the recent studies, 1) the soundness of the operation and maintenance of information systems can be judged through a quantitative comparison between the user support efforts and the system function (or service) improvement efforts, 2) to improve it, performance-oriented decision making and also user tailored operation and maintenance are suggested. In this perspective, the status of operation and maintenance of major defense information systems for three years from 2021 were analyzed and it was found that while simple user support keeps increasing, the amount of efforts invested in system functional improvement is continuously decreasing, and as a result reducing the ability to respond to future changes and challenges. To overcome this, in 2024, technologies such as AI, RPA were actively introduced, at the same time, through Big Data analysis on user service requests, user-tailored preemptive system function (or service) improvements were made. And the results were presented as a 10% decrease in the number of user requests and a 19% increase in system function improvement efforts compared to 2023. As conclusions, through this case study, the effectiveness of active introduction of new technologies into the operation and maintenance of the defense information system were confirmed. And these efforts should be continued to improve user satisfaction through user tailored preemptive service improvement and to improve efficiency of operation and maintenance through automation that finally to contribute to defense innovation 4.0 by responding to changes in the future defense information area.
