국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 광주 지역 이주배경 중학생을 대상으로 한 ‘2024 대학 연계 방학 중 한국어 집중 캠프’의 설계 및 운영 사례를 분석하고, 이를 통해 이주배경 학생 대상 한국어 교육 프로그램의 교육적 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 방법 캠프는 이주배경 중학생 24명을 대상으로 운영되었으며, 프로그램은 수준별 한국어 수업과 체험 중심의 문화 교육, 진로 탐색 활동 등으로 구성되었다. 캠프 종료 후에는 설문조사를 통해 학생들의 만족도와 캠프 운영의 개선점을 분석하였다. 결과 학생들은 체험 활동에 대해 특히 높은 만족도를 보였으며, 대부분의 학생이 캠프 전반에 대해 긍정적으로 응답하였다. 그러나 사전 안내 부족, 학생 선발 기준 문제, 통역의 과도한 개입 등과 같은 몇 가지 한계도 나타났다. 이러한 분석을 바탕으로 운영 개선 방안 및 정책 개선 방안 함께 제시하였다. 결론 향후 학습 도구 한국어 중심의 체계적인 교육과정 설계와 지속 가능한 후속 학습 체계 구축이 병행되어야 하며, 지역사회 및 대학과의 협력을 통한 정책적 지원이 필요함을 제언한다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to analyze the design and operation of the “2024 University-Linked Korean Language Intensive Camp,” conducted during the school vacation for middle school students with Migration Background in the Gwangju region, and to draw educational implications for Korean language education programs targeting such students. Methods The camp was conducted for 24 middle school students with migrant backgrounds and consisted of level-based Korean language classes, experiential cultural education, and career exploration activities. After the camp, a survey was administered to analyze student satisfaction and identify areas for improvement in the camp’s operation. Results Students were particularly satisfied with the experiential activities, and most students responded positively to the camp. However, there were some limitations, such as a lack of camp guidance, problems in selecting students, and excessive intervention by interpreters. Based on this analysis, we suggested ways to improve camp operation and policy. Conclusions In the future, a systematic curriculum centered on academic Korean is needed, a sustainable follow-up learning system must be established in parallel, and lastly, policy support through cooperation with local communities and universities is needed.
