국문 초록

(Purpose) This study examines the current state of elderly-friendly smart mobility in Gyeonggi Province and proposes policy and infrastructure improvements to enhance accessibility, safety, and mobility options for the aging population. (Design/methodology/approach) The research incorporates a literature review of 142 studies, statistical analysis of elderly traffic accidents, and comparative case studies of smart mobility systems in Japan, Germany, and Finland. Additionally, expert consultations were conducted to develop policy recommendations tailored to regional needs. (Findings) The study identifies key mobility barriers for elderly individuals, including limited access to demand-responsive transit (DRT), inadequate personal mobility (PM) infrastructure, and digital accessibility challenges. It proposes a comprehensive elderly-friendly smart mobility model, integrating low-floor accessible electric vehicles, AI-driven transport services, smart pedestrian infrastructure, and Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) platforms. (Research implications or Originality) This study bridges the gap between policy analysis, empirical data, and technological innovation to offer practical solutions for integrating elderly-friendly smart mobility into public transit systems. The findings highlight the importance of inclusive mobility policies, public-private collaboration, and advanced smart mobility infrastructure to support aging populations in urban and rural settings.
