국문 초록

This study was conducted as a needs survey on Korean culture education, with the aim of providing basic data necessary for Korean culture education for Vietnamese students. The subjects of the study were Vietnamese students studying at N University in K City, and the analysis was centered on the responses of 38 people. The analysis results showed that respondents had a higher educational need for learning both Korean and Korean culture than for learning Korean or Korean culture separately. Regarding Korean cultural experiences, dramas, movies, and Korean food were ranked high, and when it came to the image that comes to mind when thinking of ‘Korea,’ kimchi was ranked first, followed by K-POP and dramas. In terms of demand for Korean cultural education, traditional culture was ranked higher than modern culture, and when it came to cultural elements that they wanted to learn, culture related to the daily lives of Koreans was ranked high, and when it came to preferred educational methods, experience was ranked high. Vietnamese students showed a high demand for education on Korean culture that can be applied to real life in Korea. It is expected that these results will serve as a basis for designing curriculum and syllabus for subjects related to Korean culture education for international students.
