국문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to introduce the improvement of pediatric patient with a tendency of scoliosis by only Chuna manual therapy in a short period of three weeks. Methods Chuna manual therapy was performed to pediatric patient with a tendency of scoliosis who had no other symptoms, including pain and trigger points. To meas- ure spine curvature angle, Cobb’s angle was compared before and three weeks after Chuna manual therapy. Results After a total of eight times only Chuna manual therapy for three weeks, the Cobb’s angle was recovered from 9 degree to normal range, with the extension line of each vertebral body was almost horizontal. Conclusions This study may suggests that Chuna manual therapy recover Cobb’s angle of a tendency of scoliosis patients. In the future, large-scale randomized con- trolled trials and long-term follow-up studies are needed to more systematically con- firm the effectiveness of monotherapy, treatment period and the relative efficacy with other treatments.
