국문 초록

Language serves as a carrier of culture, and culture is the concrete embodiment of language. Translation, as a cross-linguistic and cross-cultural communicative act, places translation teachers in the dual role of imparting linguistic knowledge and transmitting outstanding Chinese culture. By integrating curriculum-integrated ideological and political education into translation teaching, teachers not only enhance students’ professional knowledge and skills but also foster their social identity and strengthen their sense of the Chinese national community. Excavating ideological elements in translation courses, leveraging their educational function, and fulfilling the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education require teachers to possess both solid professional knowledge and rich political theory knowledge. Based on these requirements, this paper proposes three approaches to enhance translation teachers’ teaching competence in the context of curriculum-integrated ideological and political education: (1) accelerating the formulation and implementation of curriculum-integrated ideological and political education plans; (2) promoting the establishment and expansion of the political counselor system; and (3) advancing both professional and political theory learning concurrently.
