국문 초록

본 연구는 농산어촌 지역이 직면한 사회적·공간적 문제를 공공디자인의 관점에서 고찰하고, 이를 해결하기 위한 공간디자인 가이드라인의 필요성과 방향성을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 농산어촌은 고령화, 인구감소, 공동체 약화 등 구조적 위기로 인해 공간환경의 질적 저하와 주민의 생활 만족도 하락이 심화되고 있으며, 기존의 물리적 기반 중심의 개발방식만으로는 이러한 문제를 해결하는 데 한계가 존재한다. 이에 본 연구는 보다 정성적이고 통합적인 디자인 접근의 필요성을 제기하며, 공공디자인이 농산어촌 문제 해결의 유효한 전략이 될 수 있음을 강조한다. 본 연구는 공공디자인 가이드라인의 이론적·실천적 근거를 제시함으로써 향후 농산어촌 공간환경 개선을 위한 정책적·설계적 방향 설정에 기여하고자 하며, 후속연구를 통해 구체적 가이드라인 구성과 적용방안에 대한 심층적 검토가 지속되어야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine the social and spatial challenges faced by rural areas, including agricultural and fishing communities, from the perspective of public design, and to propose the necessity and direction of spatial design guidelines to address these issues. Rural regions are experiencing structural crises such as population aging, population decline, and the weakening of community networks, which have led to the qualitative deterioration of spatial environments and a decline in residents' satisfaction with daily life. Existing development approaches focused primarily on expanding physical infrastructure are limited in their ability to effectively resolve these complex problems. Therefore, this study emphasizes the need for a more qualitative and integrated design approach, highlighting public design as an effective strategy for addressing the multifaceted challenges of rural areas. By presenting both theoretical and practical foundations for public design guidelines, this study aims to contribute to establishing future policy and design directions for improving the spatial environments of rural communities. Further research is necessary to explore the specific components and application methods of such guidelines in greater depth.
