뉴스 빅데이터를 활용한 물류산업 ESG 이슈 변화분석: 2020-2024

국문 초록

본 연구는 전 세계적으로 주목받고 있는 물류산업의 ESG 이슈 변화를 분석하기 위해, 2020년부터 2024년까지의 물류 ESG 관련 뉴스 빅데이터를 중심으로 주요 이슈 변화를 살펴보았다. 분석 방법은 한국언론진흥재단이 제공하는 빅카인즈 뉴스 빅데이터와 빅카인즈 AI 분석 서비스를 활용하여 총 7,570건의 뉴스 기사를 대상으로 핵심 키워드, 워드 클라우드, 그리고 관계도 분석방법을 통해 수행되었다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 물류 분야의 ESG 이슈는 2020년부터 급격히 증가하며 지속적으로 높은 관심을 받고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, ‘지배구조’, ‘지속가능’, ‘친환경’이 5년 내내 높은 빈도와 중요도를 보이는 핵심 키워드로 도출되었으며, ‘CJ 대한통운’, ‘한진’, ‘롯데글로벌로지스’ 등 주요 기업과 인천, 울산, 부산 등의 항만공사가 ESG 분야에서 선도적인 역할을 수행하는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 뉴스 빅데이터를 기반으로 물류산업 내 ESG 이슈의 변화와 구체적 사례를 시각적으로 제시함으로써, 향후 물류산업에서의 ESG 이슈에 대한 다양한 연구 확장에 시사점을 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study examined the evolving Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues in the global logistics industry by analyzing big data on logistics ESG-related news from 2020 to 2024. Research design, data, and methodology: This analysis was conducted using BIGKinds news big data and the BIGKinds AI analysis service provided by the Korea Press Foundation, encompassing 7,570 news articles. The key methodological approaches included keyword extraction, word cloud visualization, and network relationship analysis. Results: The results indicate that ESG issues in the logistics sector have experienced a marked increase since 2020, maintaining a consistently high level of public and media interest. The keywords “corporate governance,” “sustainability,” and “eco-friendliness” emerged as central themes, showing high frequency and significance throughout a five-year period. Furthermore, leading companies, such as CJ Logistics, Hanjin, and Lotte Global Logistics, along with port authorities in Incheon, Ulsan, and Busan, were identified as playing pivotal roles in advancing ESG practices. Conclusions: This study offers valuable insights by visually illustrating the changes and specific instances of ESG issues in the logistics industry and lays the groundwork for future research exploring various dimensions of ESG within the sector.
