국문 초록

This study explores the conceptual transformation of SF literature and the metacognitive discourse of “sensation,” focusing on Kenzaburō Ōe’s Towers of Healing. Ōe’s SF novels integrate literary premonition and scientific hypotheses, expanding them as texts that examine human existence. Towers of Healing investigates humanity’s sustainability through the binary opposition of the “chosen ones” and the “left behind,” while also analyzing the transformation of religious beliefs and the impact of technology on human identity, particularly through the notions of modified humans and posthumans. Ultimately, this study demonstrates that Ōe’s SF novels serve not merely as future predictions but as discursive spaces where scientific thought and literary imagination intersect. In particular, Towers of Healing provides a critical exploration of modern technological civilization and its ethical implications through the fusion of premonition and hypothesis.

영문 초록

本研究では、大江健三郎の『治療塔惑星』を中心に、SF小説の概念的転換とメタ認知的言説化としての「感覚」を分析した。特に、大江のSF小説は文学的な予感と科学的な仮説が混在したジャンルであり、本研究ではこれを人間の存在に関する問題を探求するテクストとして拡張し、解釈を試みた。 治療塔惑星』は、「選ばれた者」と「残された者」という二項対立的構造を通じて、未来社会における人間性と文明の持続可能性を考察している。また、「世界宗教」という概念を通じて宗教的信念の変化を探り、改造人間やポストヒューマンという概念を用いて、技術が人間のアイデンティティに与える影響を分析した。 この分析を踏まえ、本研究では、大江のSF小説が単なる未来予測にとどまらず、科学的思考と文学的想像力が混在した言説の場として機能していることを明らかにした。特に、『治療塔惑星』は、予感と仮説の物語的混在を通じて、現代の技術文明の方向性や倫理的課題を深く考察するテクストとして重要な意義を持つことを確認した。
