Jigsaw 협동학습이 예비교사의 변혁적 역량에 미치는 효과에 관한 연구

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 Jigsaw 협동학습이 예비교사의 변혁적 역량에 미치는 효과를 검증하고, 이에 대한 교육적 시사점을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구방법: 본 연구는 교육과정 강좌를 수강한 예비교사 147명을 대상으로 Jigsaw 협동학습을 적용하였으며, 단일집단 전후검사 실험설계를 적용하였다. 수집된 자료는 대응표본 t검증과 효과크기 분석을 통해 통계적 유의미성과 실제적 유의미성을 확인하였다. 연구결과: 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같았다. 첫째, Jigsaw 협동학습은 예비교사의 변혁적 역량에 통계적·실제적으로 효과가 있었다. 둘째, Jigsaw 협동학습은 예비교사의 변혁적 역량의 3가지 하위 범주와 9가지 하위 변인 모두에서 통계적으로 유의미성을 확인하였다. 셋째, Jigsaw 협동학습은 예비교사의 변혁적 역량의 3가지 하위 범주(새로운 가치 창출하기, 긴장과 딜레마 조정하기, 책임감 갖기)와 8가지 하위 변인(창의성, 호기심, 개방성, 통합성, 논리, 관점, 예상, 책임 및 성찰)에서 실제적 유의미성을 확인하였다. 결론: Jigsaw 협동학습은 예비교사의 변혁적 역량을 향상시키는 데 효과적인 교수·학습 방법이었다. 본 연구가 Jigsaw 협동학습의 변혁적 역량의 효과를 실증적으로 입증하였다는 점에서 연구의 의의가 있었다. 교원양성대학에서 예비교사의 변혁적 역량 강화를 위한 교수·학습 방법으로 Jigsaw 협동학습이 널리 활용되기를 기대한다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study aimed to examine the effects of Jigsaw cooperative learning on the transformative competencies of pre-service teachers. Methods: A one-group pretest-posttest design was employed to verify changes in pre-service teachers’ transformative competencies before and after the application of Jigsaw cooperative learning. A paired-samples t-test was conducted to verify statistical significance, and effect size was calculated to determine practical significance. Results: The results indicated that Jigsaw cooperative learning had a statistically significant impact on the transformative competencies of pre-service teachers. Moreover, the effect size suggested practical significance across various competency dimensions. Conclusion: Jigsaw cooperative learning demonstrated both statistically and practically significant effects on enhancing pre-service teachers’ transformative competencies. This study contributes to the field by empirically validating Jigsaw cooperative learning as an effective instructional strategy for teacher education programs.
