국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 Hatzenbuehler(2009)의 이론을 바탕으로 성적지향 마이크로어그레션과 심리적 디스트레스 간의 관계에서 회피 중심 대처의 매개효과를 검증하고, 긍정적 정체성이 매개효과를 조절하는지 분석하고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위해 국내에 거주중인 만 18세 이상의 성인 시스젠더 레즈비언, 게이, 양성애자(LGB)를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 최종적으로 338명의 데이터를 분석에 활용하였다. 통계분석은 SPSS 23.0과 SPSS Macro를 사용하였다. 결과 첫째, 모든 변인들 간의 상관관계는 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 성적 지향 마이크로어그레션이 심리적 디스트레스에 미치는 영향에서 회피 중심 대처는 완전 매개효과를 보였다. 셋째, 긍정적 정체성은 성적 지향 마이크로어그레션과 회피 중심 대처 간의 관계에서 조절 요인으로 작용하는 것으로 확인되었다. 마지막으로, 성적 지향 마이크로어그레션이 회피 중심 대처를 매개로 심리적 디스트레스에 영향을 미치는 과정에서, 긍정적 정체성이 조절된 매개효과를 나타내는 것이 검증되었다. 결론 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 학문적·실무적 함의를 논의하였으며, 상담 및 심리치료 현장에서의 적용 가능성과 향후 연구 방향을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives This paper is based on Hatzenbuehler’s (2009) framework, aimed to examine the moderated mediating effect of positive identity through Avoidance coping strategy on the relationship between sexual orientation microaggression and psychological distress. Methods The present study was conducted by collecting responses from 338 lesbian, gay, and bisexual individuals. Results The result shows that all variables showed statistically significant correlations. Second, there was a significant complete mediating effect of avoidance coping strategy on the relationship between sexual orientation microaggression and psychological distress. Third, there was a significant moderating effect of positive identity on the relationship between sexual orientation microaggression and avoidance coping strategy. Finally, the moderated mediation effect of positive identity on the relationship between sexual orientation microaggression, avoidance coping strategy, and psychological distress was found. Conclusions The purposes of this study were to specify variables related to convergence competency, and to analyze the structural relationships among them.
