국문 초록

목적 외국인 유학생의 전공선택 동기가 대학생활적응, 전공만족도, 진로결정에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 유학생 지원 방안을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 방법 본 연구는 국내 대학 외국인 유학생 125명을 대상으로 전공선택 동기, 대학생활적응, 전공만족도, 진로결정 간의 관계를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 주요 변인을 측정하는 설문조사를 실시하고, SPSS 20.0을 활용해 상관분석과 다중회귀분석을 통해 변수 간 관계를 검증하였다. 결과 전공선택 동기의 전문 요인과 직업 요인은 대학생활적응, 전공만족도, 진로결정에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 심리적 적응에는 전공선택 동기가 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 특히 진로결정에서는 직업 요인이 가장 큰 영향을 미친 것으로 확인되었다. 결론 외국인 유학생의 전공만족도와 진로결정을 높이기 위해 전문성과 직업적 목표를 지원하는 교육 환경이 필요하다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to analyze the influence of international students' major selection motivations on their adaptation to college life, major satisfaction, and career decisions, and to suggest support measures for international students. Methods This study analyzed the relationship between major selection motivation, college life adaptation, major satisfaction, and career decision of 125 international students in domestic universities. To this end, a survey was conducted to measure key variables, and correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were used to verify the relationship between variables using SPSS 20.0. Results Professional and occupational factors were found to have a significant effect on college life adaptation, major satisfaction, and career decision. On the other hand, major selection motivation did not have a significant effect on psychological adaptation. In particular, occupational factors were found to have the greatest effect on career decision. Conclusions In order to increase international students' satisfaction with their majors and career decisions, an educational environment that supports their professionalism and career goals is needed.
