내현적 자기애가 대인관계 유능성에 미치는 영향: 사회적 지지와 자기 자비의 매개 효과

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 대학생의 내현적 자기애와 대인관계 유능성의 관계에서 사회적 지지와 자기자비의 매개효과와 순차적 이중매개효과를 검정하는데 있다. 방법 이를 위해 성인 남녀 만 18세~29세에 해당하는 대학생을 대상으로 진행되었다. 자료 수집은 온라인 자기보고식 설문지로 수집하였고, 대상자들에게 연구목적, 응답요령, 개인정보 비밀보장 의무를 첨부하여 이에 동의하는 응답자만이 설문을 계속 진행할 수 있도록 하였다. 내현적 자기애 척도, 대인관계 유능성 척도, 사회적지지 척도, 자기자비 척도를 활용하여 설문조사, 자료 분석 및 구조방정식모형검증을 실시하였다. 결과 첫째 모든 변인 간 유의한 상관을 나타냈으며, 내현적 자기애와 사회적지지, 자기자비, 대인관계 유능성은 유의미한 부적 상관을 보였으며, 사회적지지, 자기자비와 대인관계 유능성은 유의미한 정적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 내현적 자기애, 대인관계 유능성간의 관계에서 사회적 지지와 자기자비는 유의한 매개효과를 나타냈다. 셋째, 내현적 자기애와 대인관계 유능성간의 관계에서 사회적 지지와 자기자비는 순차적으로 매개하는 이중매개효과를 나타냈다. 결론 이와 같은 연구결과를 통해 내현적 자기애를 지닌 사람이 대인관계 유능성을 발휘하기 위한 변인으로 개인외적 요인인 사회적 지지와 개인 내적 요인인 자기자비가 유의미한 영향을 미치는 변인임을 검증하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of social support and self-compassion, as well as the sequential double mediation effect, in the relationship between implicit narcissism and interpersonal competence among college students. Methods This study was conducted with university students aged 18 to 29 years, both male and female. Data collection was carried out using an online self-report survey, and participants were provided with information about the research purpose, response instructions, and confidentiality of personal information. Only respondents who agreed to these terms were allowed to continue with the survey. To this end, a survey was conducted with a total of 313 college students using the Implicit Narcissism Scale, Interpersonal Competence Scale, Social Support Scale, and Self-Compassion Scale. Data analysis and structural equation modeling were performed. Results First, all variables showed significant correlations. Implicit narcissism had a significant negative correlation with social support, self-compassion, and interpersonal competence, while social support and self-compassion showed significant positive correlations with interpersonal competence. Second, social support and self-compassion showed significant mediating effects in the relationship between implicit narcissism and interpersonal competence. Third, social support and self-compassion sequentially mediated the relationship between implicit narcissism and interpersonal competence, demonstrating a significant sequential double mediation effect. Conclusions The results of this study confirm that social support, an external factor, and self-compassion, an internal factor, significantly influence individuals with implicit narcissism in terms of their ability to demonstrate interpersonal competence.
