국문 초록
This study aimed to identify the causal relationships among wellness, aesthetic behavior/aesthetic value perception, and psychological empowerment in male office workers, with the goal of developing strategies to expand the men's skincare industry. The results revealed the following: First, wellness had a statistically significant effect on both aesthetic behavior and aesthetic value perception. Second, psychological empowerment served as a mediator between wellness and aesthetic behavior, while no mediating effect was observed with aesthetic value perception. In the wake of growing interest in wellness following the COVID-19 pandemic, the findings of this study suggest that men's wellness, along with their psychological empowerment—encompassing confidence and competence in their work—can enhance their perception of aesthetic value and their intention to use aesthetic products. These results emphasize the potential for expanding the men's skincare industry and indicate the need for continuous development of products and programs.
