국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 대학생 학습자의 형태소 분석 및 언어 특성 이해 양상을 탐구하여 학습자의 형태소 인식 능력을 실증적으로 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 방법 이를 위하여 대학생 60명을 대상으로 형태소 인식 및 언어 특성 이해 과제를 수행하게 한 후, 그 응답들을 데이터 전처리를 실시하였다. 확정한 데이터를 네트워크 분석과 토픽모델링을 통해 분석하고 네트워크 시각화하여, 학습자들의 성취 수준별로 형태소 인식 특성과 언어 특성 이해 양상을 비교하였다. 결과 네트워크 분석과 토픽모델링 결과, 학습자의 성취 수준에 따라 형태소 인식과 언어 특성 이해 정도에서 체계적 접근과 개념 연결 양상에 차이가 나타났다. 상위권 학습자는 체계적이고 추상적인 이해를, 중위권과 하위권 학습자는 구체적 사례에 의존하는 경향을 보였다. 결론 형태소 교육은 학습자의 수준에 맞는 차별화된 접근이 필요하며, 구체적 사례와 추상적 개념을 유기적으로 연결하는 교육 방안이 요구된다. 형태소를 언어 특성 탐구의 핵심 요소 및 학습자 언어 의식 함양의 도구로 활용할 수 있다는 점에서 본 연구는 중요한 교육적 시사점을 제공한다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to explore learners' morphological analysis and understanding of language characteristics and empirically analyze their morphological awareness. Methods For this purpose, the study analyzed the morphological awareness and language characteristic tasks of 60 university students using network analysis and topic modeling. The results were compared to examine the differences in morphological awareness and understanding of language characteristics across learners with varying achievement levels. Results As a result of the analysis, The findings from the network analysis and topic modeling revealed differences in systematic approaches and conceptual connections to morphological awareness and understanding of language characteristics based on learners’ achievement levels. High-achieving learners demonstrated a structured and abstract understanding, while mid- and low-achieving learners tended to rely on concrete examples. Conclusions Morphological education requires a differentiated approach tailored to learners' levels and necessitates teaching strategies that integrate concrete examples with abstract concepts. This study offers significant educational implications by highlighting the potential of utilizing morphemes as a core element in exploring linguistic characteristics and as a tool for enhancing learners' language awareness.
