In the process of globalization, music creation increasingly reflects the trend of multicultural fusion, and the concept of “new music” is gradually becoming clearer. As one of the most influential composers in China, Mr. Bao Yuankai has demonstrated the unique fusion of “Chinese style” and global culture in his works, which has had a profound impact on the field of music creation. However, there are relatively few studies on the cultural integration of Mr. Bao's Symphony No. 6 “Yanzhao”. Based on this background, this paper aims to take the first movement of the work as an example, and explore Bao Yuankai's artistic concepts and his successful experience by analyzing in depth the “Chinese style” embodied in the work and its interaction with contemporary culture. The study found that Symphony No. 6 “Yanzhao” not only inherits the essence of traditional Chinese music, but also skillfully integrates modern compositional techniques, thus constructing a musical space that is both culturally profound and innovative. In addition, through the dissection of specific musical materials and structural features, it further reveals how Bao Yuankai explores and develops the possibilities of a musical language with Chinese characteristics in the context of globalization.
