Fujian Tulou, large rammed earth buildings primarily distributed in the southwestern part of Fujian Province, are one of the three major Hakka dwellings. They are a unique historical and cultural heritage of the border region between Fujian, Jiangxi, and Guangdong, holding significant architectural and historical cultural value. This paper studies the current protection status, existing issues, and inheritance methods of Fujian Tulou, proposing a series of measures and suggestions for their preservation and inheritance to provide references for local governments and relevant departments. Through literature review and field investigation, this paper delves into the architectural characteristics, historical background, and current status of Fujian Tulou, and analyzes the shortcomings in current preservation efforts. The study results indicate that the sustainable inheritance of Fujian Tulou requires a comprehensive consideration of cultural, social, and economic factors, and the adoption of diverse measures for comprehensive protection and rational utilization.
