유아교사가 인식하는 양성과정에서의 교직이론 교과목에 대한 개념도 분석

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 개념도 방법을 활용하여 유아교사의 양성과정에서 교직이론 교과목에 대한 인식을 탐색하는 것이다. 방법 이를 위해 유아교사 33명을 연구 참여자로 선정하였다. 연구 참여자는 초점 질문에 대한 자신의 생각과 경험을 자유롭게 진술하였으며, 범주화와 중요도 평정에 참여하였다. 이를 통해 도출된 자료는 다차원척도 분석(ALSCAL)과 계층적 군집분석(Ward 링크를 사용한 방법)으로 분석하였다. 결과 자료를 분석한 결과, 첫째, 유치원 교사의 교직이론 교과목에 대한 인식으로 최종 30개의 진술문이 도출되었으며, 다차원척도 분석을 통해 X, Y축의 의미를 해석하여 ‘교사 밖 맥락–교사 내 맥락’, ‘학교 내 맥락–학교 밖 맥락’ 차원으로 명명하였다. 또한 군집분석을 통해 진술문을 ‘교사로서의 교육관과 태도’, ‘교사의 복지와 권익’, ‘교육공동체에서의 소통과 관계’, ‘교육의 근본과 기초’, ‘교육 실천 연계’, ‘교육의 사회적 동향’의 6개 군집으로 분류하였다. 둘째, 유아교사의 양성과정에서의 교직이론 교과목에 대한 중요도 분석 결과 군집별로 ‘교사의 복지와 권익’, ‘교사로서의 교육관과 태도’에서 높은 중요도를 나타냈고, ‘교육의 사회적 동향’이 낮은 중요도를 나타냈다. 결론 본 연구 결과는 유아교사 양성과정의 교직과정을 현재의 사회적 상황과 요구에 적합하게 재구성하고, 유아교육현장과 교직과목의 연계성 강화를 위한 방안 모색의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to explore the perception of the teaching profession subjects of theory area in early childhood teacher training course with using concept mapping analysis. Methods The participants of this study were 33 early childhood teachers. Research participants stated freely their thoughts and experiences about the focus question, categorized their statements, and rated the importance. The conducted data were analyzed using multidimensional scale analysis(ALSCAL) and hierarchical cluster analysis(method by Ward linkage). Results The results were as follows. First, 30 statements were generated finally based on the recognition of the teaching profession subjects of theory area in early childhood teacher training course and divided into two dimensions: ‘out-of-teacher context / in-teacher context’ and ‘out-of-school context / in-school context’ through multidimensional scale analysis. In addition, the statements were classified into six clusters of ‘Educational perspective and attitude as a teacher’, ‘Teacher's welfare and rights’, ‘Communication and relationships in school community’, ‘The foundations of education’, ‘Linkages with educational practice’ and ‘Social trends in education’ through cluster analysis. Second, according to the importance results, ‘Teacher's welfare and rights’ and ‘Educational perspective and attitude as a teacher’ ranked higher, but ‘Social trends in education’ ranked lower. Conclusions The results of this study can be used as a basis for reorganizing the curriculum of the early childhood teacher training program to suit the current social situation and needs, and for exploring ways to strengthen the link between practice and theory.
