국문 초록

Objectives : To examine the basis for using homonymous meridians(meridains of the same name) in acupuncture point selection by reinterpreting the contents of the Yinyanglihelun chapter of the Huangdineijing Suwen. Methods : Verses in the Suwen were reinterpreted, then the embryological meaning of the Three Yin Three Yang Channels were examined, followed by examination of the embryological homogeneity of the homonymous channels. Theoretical groundwork for point selection of homonymous channels was suggested. Results & Conclusions : The Hand and Feet channels were differentiated up and down from the Three Yin Three Yang channels of body trunk originally, sharing the same embryological root. Therefore, homonymous channels have homogeneity in their position and function. The embryological homogeneity of the homonymous channels is an important theoretical foundation for point selection in acupuncture.
