유아교사를 위한 창의적 교수역량 증진 앱 개발 및 효과검증

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 유아교사가 자신의 창의적 교수 역량을 측정하고 모니터링할 수 있는 창의적 교수역량 모바일 앱(Creative Teaching Creative Teacher App, CTCT App)을 개발하고, 해당 앱의 활용이 유아교사의 창의적 교수 역량 증진에 미치는 효과를 검증하는 데 있다. CTCT 앱은 유아교사가 자신의 창의적 교수역량을 모니터링함으로써 유아교육 현장에서 유아의 창의성 증진을 지원하는 것에 초점을 두어 개발하였다. 방법 창의적 교수역량 앱 개발에 관한 요구도를 파악하기 위해 10명의 유아교사들과 면접을 실시하였고, 3명의 창의성 및 유아교육 전문가들로부터 자문을 받았다. CTCT 앱 개발 이후 창의적 교수 증진 모바일앱의 활용이 유아교사의 창의적 교수 역량 증진에 효과가 있는지를 알아보기 위해, 실험집단에게만 CTCT 앱을 활용하게 하였다. 앱 배포 전에 실험집단과 통제집단에게 사전 검사(창의적 교수역량)를 실시하였고, 3개월 후에 사후 검사를 실시하였다. 최종 분석에는 사전사후 검사에 모두 참여한 82명의 자료를 활용하였다. 앱 사용의 효과를 알아보기 위해 창의적 교수역량 사전검사를 공변인으로 하여 다변량 공분산분석을 실시하였다. 결과 CTCT 앱이 유아교사의 창의적 교수역량 증진에 미치는 효과를 다변량 공분산분석을 통해 살펴본 결과, 창의적 교수역량 하위요인 중 ‘유아 창의성이해’, ‘창의적 환경 지원’, ‘창의적 교수법 및 상호작용’ 증진에는 유의한 효과가 없었으나, ‘교사 창의성 개발노력’과 ‘유아 창의성 평가’ 증진에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 이러한 결과는 디지털 도구를 통해 유아교사의 창의적 교수역량이 개발될 수 있음을 보여주는 것으로, 유아교사의 창의적 교수역량 증진을 위한 적극적인 정책적 지원이 필요함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aimed to develop a mobile application, the Creative Teaching Creative Teacher (CTCT) App, designed to help early childhood educators assess and monitoring their creative teaching competence. Additionally, it sought to evaluate the app's effectiveness in enhancing creative teaching competencies, ultimately supporting the promotion of young children’s creativity in early childhood education settings. Methods The development of the CTCT App was informed by interviews with 10 early childhood teachers to identify their needs and by consultations with three experts in creativity and early childhood education. The app was provided exclusively to the experimental group to assess its effectiveness. Both experimental and control groups completed a pre-test assessing creative teaching competencies before the app's distribution and a post-test three months later. Data from 82 participants who completed both tests were analyzed. A multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) was conducted, using the pre-test scores as a covariate, to evaluate the app's effectiveness. Results The MANCOVA revealed that the CTCT App significantly improved two subfactors of creative teaching competencies: ‘teacher creativity development efforts’ and ‘evaluation of children’s creativity’. However, no significant effects were found on ‘understanding children’s creativity’, ‘supporting creative environments’, or ‘creative teaching methods and interactions’. Conclusions The findings suggest that targeted professional development through tools like the CTCT App can enhance specific aspects of early childhood educators' creative teaching competence. These results highlight the need for active policy support to foster creative teaching practices among early childhood educators.
