국문 초록

오늘날 테러의 국제화 현상으로 인해 프렌차이즈 형태의 원격테러, 테러조직 간의 네트워크화 경향 등이 나타나고 있다. 또한 SNS 확대 등 온라인의 영향력이 점점 커지면서 그동안 테러 위험으로부터 안전하다고 평가되어 왔던 한국 역시 이에 대한 철저한 대비가 필요한 시점이다. 과거의 경우 폭탄, 생화학무기, 암살테러 등을 이용한 물리적인 테러가 주를 이루었다면, 최근 드론 테러, 사이버테러 등 테러의 양상은 다각화되고 복잡해지고 있다. 또한 테러의 국제화 경향에 대응하기 위하여, 테러 단체 간의 연계성과 공통점 등을 분석할 필요가 있다. 이러한 문제의식 하에, 본 연구는 이슬람 극단주의 테러와 북한의 대남테러의 사상적 공통점을 도출하여 테러 예방시스템을 구축하는데 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다.

영문 초록

Due to the internationalization of terrorism today, franchise-type remote terrorism and a tendency to network between terrorist organizations are emerging. In addition, as online influence, such as the expansion of SNS, is growing, it is time for South Korea to prepare thoroughly for new type of international terrorism, which has been evaluated as safe from the risk of terrorism. In the past, physical terrorism using bombs, biochemical weapons, and assassinations was dominated, but in recent years, the aspects of terrorism such as drone terrorism and cyber terrorism are diversifying and becoming more complex. In addition, in order to cope with the trend of internationalization of terrorism, it is necessary to analyze the connections and commonalities between terrorist organizations. With this awareness of the problem, this study attempts to provide basic data for establishing a terrorism prevention system by deriving the ideological commonalities between Islamic extremist terrorism and North Korea's terrorism against South Korea.
