어머니의 과보호 양육태도가 유아의 사회적 유능성에 미치는 영향에서 자기조절학습능력의 매개효과

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 어머니의 과보호 양육태도가 유아의 사회적 유능성에 미치는 영향에서 자기조절학습능력의 매개효과를 규명하는 것이다. 방법 본 연구의 대상은 경기도지역 유아교육기관에 재원 중인 유아의 어머니 308명이고, 설문조사를 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 25.0 프로그램을 활용하여 빈도분석, 탐색적 요인분석, 신뢰도 분석, 상관분석, 회귀분석을 실시하였고, Baron과 Kenny(1986)가 제시한 3단계 매개효과 분석을 실시하였으며, 매개효과의 유의성을 확인하기 위해 Sobel test를 실시하였다. 결과 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 어머니 과보호 양육태도의 침해가 전반적인 유아의 자기조절학습능력 및 사회적 유능성에 유의미한 부적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 어머니가 침해를 많이 할수록 유아의 자기조절학습능력과 사회적 유능성이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 과보호 양육태도가 유아의 사회적 유능성에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 자기조절학습능력의 매개효과를 분석한 결과, 과보호 양육태도의 침해는 유아의 자기조절학습능력 및 사회적 유능성에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 이 과정에서 자기조절학습능력의 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 본 연구를 통하여 어머니 과보호 양육태도의 침해가 유아의 사회적 유능성에 부정적인 영향을 주지만, 자기조절학습능력이 매개역할을 하여 사회적 유능성을 높이는 변인으로 작용하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 유아의 사회적 유능성을 높이는데 어머니의 과보호 양육태도를 지양하고 자기조절학습능력을 신장시키기 위한 노력이 필요함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating effect of self-regulated learning ability on the influence of mothers' overprotective parenting attitude on children's social competence. Methods This study used data from a survey of 308 children and mothers from early childhood education institutions in the Gyeonggi Province. Frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and rarefaction analysis were performed using the SPSS18 program. In addition, a three-step mediation effect analysis suggested by Baron & Kenny (1986) was conducted to verify the research model, and a Sobel test was performed to confirm the significance of the mediation effect. Results As a result of this study, first, it was found that infringement among mothers' overprotective parenting attitudes had a significant negative correlation with infants' overall self-regulated learning ability and social competence. In other words, the more the mother infringes, the lower the infant's self-regulated learning ability and social competence. Second, as a result of analyzing the mediating effect of self-regulated learning ability in the process of the mother's overprotective parenting attitude affecting children's social competence, it was found that infringement of overprotective parenting attitude negatively affected children's self-regulated learning ability and social competence, and in this process, it was found that self-regulated learning ability had a mediating effect. Conclusions Through this study, it was confirmed that the infringement of the mother's overprotective parenting attitude negatively affects children's social competence, but self-regulated learning ability plays a mediating role and acts as a variable to increase social competence. These results suggest that in order to increase the social competence of infants, efforts are needed to avoid mothers' overprotective parenting attitude and enhance self-regulated learning abilities.
