진로연계 인성교육 프로그램이 고등학생 진로 태도 성숙도에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 진로 연계 인성교육 프로그램이 고등학생의 진로 태도 성숙도에 미치는 영향을 확인하기 위함이다. 방법 이를 위해 2022년 9월부터 12월에 진행한 고교생 대상 진로 연계 인성교육에 참여했던 서울 소재 A고등학교 1학년 199명을 대상으로 바롬인성척도와 진로태도성숙도 척도를 활용하여 사전사후 조사를 실시하였다. 결과 본 조사 결과 교육 전후 인지, 정의, 행동 영역의 인성 척도 전체 점수는 사전검사에 비해 사후점수가 유의하게 향상된 것으로 확인되었다. 인성 전체영역과 진로 전체영역도 정적으로 상관관계를 보였고, 인성교육이 진로태도성숙도에 미치는 영향력을 알아보기 위해 하위 요인들간 상관 및 회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 진로태도성숙도 중 결정성 요인을 제외한 확신성, 준비성, 독립성이 인지, 정의, 행동 영역과 정적 상관관계가 있었다. 특히 인성 척도의 하위 영역 중 인지 영역이 진로 확신성, 준비성, 독립성에 다른 영역보다 상대적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 인성요소에 의한 설명력은 독립성이 가장 높았으며 다음으로 준비성, 확신성 순으로 나타났다. 결론 본 연구를 통해 자신은 어떤 삶을 원하며, 어떻게 사회에 기여할 것인지에 초점을 두고 그에 대한 답을 찾아가는 과정을 제공하는 방식의 인성교육이 독립적으로 자신의 미래를 준비해가는 힘 등을 포함한 진로태도성숙도를 증진시키는데 영향을 미침을 밝혔다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로, 인성교육이 전제된 진로 교육이 강화되어야 함을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aims to determine the effects of a career-linked character education program on high school students' career attitude maturity. Methods A pre-post survey using the Barom Character Scale and the Career Attitude Maturity Scale was conducted on 199 first-year students at a high school in Seoul, who participated in a career-linked character education program from September to December 2022 Results The results showed that the overall scores of the character scale in the cognitive, affective, and behavioral domains improved significantly after the program participation. To examine the impact of character education on career attitude maturity, correlation and regression analyses were conducted among the sub-factors. The results showed that confidence, readiness, and independence were positively correlated with the cognitive, justice, and behavioral domains of career attitude maturity. In particular, among the sub-scales of the personality scale, the cognitive domain was found to have a more significant effect on career certainty, readiness, and independence than the other domains have. The explanatory power of the personality factors was highest for the independence, followed by readiness and certainty. Conclusions This study revealed that character education, which focuses on helping individuals find answers to what kind of life they want and how they can contribute to the society, influences the improvement of career attitude maturity, the ability to prepare for their future for themselves. Based on these findings, it is suggested that career education premised on character education should be strengthened.
