초등학생의 시각적 소통능력 함양을 위한 PBL 기반 전시기획 프로그램 개발 및 효과 연구

국문 초록

연구목적 본 연구는 초등학교의 미술 교육 현장에 적용할 수 있는 시각적 소통능력 함양을 위한 전시기획 프로그램을 개발하고 효과를 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법 이를 위해 전시기획 과정에서 시각적 소통능력의 하위역량인 시각화 능력, 시각적 문해력, 비판적 사고력, 의사소통 능력을 융합적으로 활용할 수 있도록 프로그램의 내용을 구성하고 초등학교 수업에서 효율적인 활용을 돕고자 PBL 수업모형과 자기결정성증진 프로그램을 변형하여 프로그램에 적용했다. 개발된 프로그램은 적용 대상의 확장 가능성을 검토하기 위해 연령과 수업환경이 다른 3개 학급에서 실행되었으며 결과 분석을 통해 도출된 내용을 바탕으로 개선된 프로그램을 제안했다. 연구결과 관찰일지, 면담 기록자료, 활동지, 자기평가지, 동료평가지 등 수집된 질적자료를 주요 분석자료로 활용하고 학습자 설문 내용으로 보완한 결과 본 프로그램에서 목표한 학습자의 시각화 능력, 시각적 문해력, 비판적 사고력, 의사소통 능력의 증진을 확인했으며 프로그램의 효율적인 적용 면에서 PBL의 긍정적인 역할을 검증했으나 자기결정성 증진 활동의 경우 그 효과가 미미한 것으로 나타났다. 결론 본 연구에서 개발한 프로그램의 적용 결과 분석을 통해 전시기획 활동의 시각적 소통능력 함양 가능성과 운영 과정에서 PBL 및 자기결정성 증진 활동이 갖는 효과성을 검토할 수 있었다. 그 외에 공동체 역량과 창의·융합 역량의 신장 가능성을 추가적으로 발견할 수 있었으며 기존 프로그램의 전체 활동 시간 재조정, 선행 준비 활동의 제시, 자기결정성 증진 활동의 보완 등을 거친 개선된 프로그램을 제안했다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to develop an exhibition planning program and analyze the effectiveness to foster visual communication skills that can be applied to the art education of elementary schools. Methods: The contents of the program were constructed so that the sub-competencies of visual communication skills could be used in the exhibition planning process, and the PBL teaching model and self-determination promotion program were modified and applied to the program to help the efficient use in elementary school classes. The developed program was implemented in three classes with different ages and classroom environments to examine the possibility of expansion of the application target, and an improved program was proposed based on the results derived through analysis. Results: As a result of using the collected qualitative data as a major analysis data and supplementing it with learner questionnaires, the application of this program confirmed the improvement of learners' visual communication skills and verified the positive role of PBL in the efficient application of the program, but the effect was insignificant in self-determination promotion activities. Conclusion: Through the analysis of the application results of the program developed in this study, it was possible to examine the possibility of cultivating visual communication skills of exhibition planning activities and the effectiveness of PBL and self-determination promotion activities in the operation process. In addition, it was possible to additionally discover the possibility of enhancing common body capabilities and creativity and convergence capabilities, and proposed an improved program that supplemented the existing program.
