초등학교 예비교사의 발명에 대한 인식과 이미지

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 초등학교 예비교사의 발명에 대한 인식과 이미지를 분석함으로써 발명에 대한 긍정적 인식을 유도하고 발명 행동을 이끌 수 있는 교육프로그램을 개발하기 위한 기초 자료를 제공하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 방법 설문 조사를 실시하여 초등학교 예비교사의 발명에 대한 인식과 이미지를 분석하였고, 예비교사의 일반적 특성(계열, 발명교육 경험)에 따른 발명에 대한 인식과 이미지의 차이를 분석하였다. 연구 대상은 A 교육대학교 3학년에 재학 중인 예비교사 102명이었고, 분석 방법은 기술통계와 독립표본 t-검정이었다. 결과 첫째, 초등학교 예비교사의 발명에 대한 인식은 보통보다 조금 높은 수준이었고, 발명에 대한 이미지는 긍정적인 편이었다. 하위요인에서는 ‘발명 영향’에 대한 인식의 수준이 가장 높았고, ‘발명 매체 관심’에 대한 인식의 수준이 가장 낮았다. 발명 이미지는 ‘가치적’ 요인에 대한 이미지가 가장 긍정적이었고, ‘감정적’ 요인에 대한 이미지는 부정적이었다. 둘째, 초등학교 예비교사의 발명에 대한 인식은 계열에 따른 차이를 보였다. 자연계열 예비교사의 발명에 대한 인식은 인문계열 예비교사보다 높았다. 계열은 발명에 대한 이미지에도 영향을 미치는 유의미한 변수였다. 자연계열 예비교사는 인문계열 예비교사보다 발명을 좋고, 유쾌하고, 행복하고, 가치롭고, 밝고, 넓고, 공정하고, 정교하고, 큰 것이라고 인식하고 있었다. 셋째, 초등학교 예비교사의 발명에 대한 인식은 발명교육 경험에 따른 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 하위요인에서는 ‘발명 관심’ 요인에서만 차이가 나타났다. 발명교육 경험에 따른 발명에 대한 이미지는 집단 간의 차이를 보였다. 발명교육을 받은 경험이 있는 예비교사가 그렇지 않은 예비교사보다 발명에 대한 긍정적 이미지를 가지고 있었다. 결론 미래 교육의 주체인 예비교사의 발명에 대한 인식과 이미지를 긍정적으로 유도하여 수업 행동에까지 영향을 미치도록 하기 위해서는 인문계열 예비교사를 위한 발명교육 프로그램을 개발할 필요가 있다. 발명교육 경험이 발명에 대한 이미지에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타난 연구 결과도 인문계열 예비교사들을 위한 발명교육의 필요성을 강조한다. 발명에 대한 이미지는 발명을 준비하는 교수 행동에 영향을 미치기 때문에 더욱 그러하다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception and image of the invention of pre-primary elementary school teachers. Methods This study analyzed the degree of perception and image of the invention and the difference of the per ception and image of the invention according to general characteristics(department, invention education experi ence) of pre-primary elementary school teachers. The subjects of the study were 102 pre-primary elementary school teachers(third-year students) of A National University of Education. The analysis methods were descriptive statistics and independent sample t-test. Results The results of the study were as follows. First, the perception of the invention of pre-primary elementary school teachers was slightly higher than middle level, and the image of the invention was positive. In the sub-fac tors, the mean of ‘invention impact’ was the highest in the perception of invention, and the mean of the ‘value’ factor was the highest in the image of invention. Second, the perception of the invention of pre-primary elemen tary school teachers differed according to the department. The perception of the invention of pre-service teachers in the natural science department was higher than that of pre-service teachers in the humanities department. Third, there was no difference in the perception of the invention of pre-primary elementary school teachers ac cording to the experience of invention education. However, the image of invention according to the experience of invention education showed differences between groups. Pre-service teachers with experience in invention edu cation had a more positive image of invention than pre-service teachers who did not. Conclusions It is necessary to develop an invention education program for pre-service teachers in the humanities field to positively induce the perception and image of the invention of pre-service teachers to affect future instruc tional behavior. Research results that show that the experience of invention education has a significant effect on the image of invention also emphasize the necessity of invention education for pre-service teachers in the hu manities field. Since the image of the invention affects the teaching behavior preparing for the invention, it is more necessary to form a positive image through education.
