국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 부모의 부정적 양육태도, 우울, 스마트폰 과의존 및 학업 무기력 간의 관계를 확인하고, 부모의 부정적 양육태도가 학업 무기력에 미치는 영향에서 우울과 스마트폰 과의존의 매개효과 검증을 하였다. 방법 이를 위해 한국 아동·청소년 패널조사 2018(Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey: KCYPS)의 3차년도(2020) 총 2,384명의 중학교 3학년 학생 자료를 활용하여, SPSS 25.0, SPSS PROCESS MACRO 3.4로 신뢰도, 상관관계, 매개효과분석 등을 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 부정적 양육태도, 우울, 스마트폰 과의존, 학업 무기력의 상관분석 결과 모든 변인 간 유의한 상관이 나타났다. 둘째, 우울과 스마트폰 과의존은 부정적 부모양육태도와 학업 무기력의 관계에서 각각 부분매개효과가 나타났다. 셋째, 우울과 스마트폰 과의존은 부정적 부모양육태도와 학업 무기력의 관계에서 순차적으로 학업 무기력에 영향을 미치는 순차매개효과가 나타났다. 결론 이는 부모의 부정적 양육태도가 높을수록 높은 우울을 보이고, 이는 다시 높은 스마트폰 과의존을 유발하여 학업 무기력을 높이는데 유의한 영향을 미친다는 것을 의미한다. 이를 바탕으로 청소년의 학업 무기력을 감소시키기 위한 실질적인 방안을 모색하고, 우울과 스마트폰 과의존 예방 및 대처를 위한 교육 및 상담의 필요성에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among negative parenting attitudes, de pression, smartphone overdependence, and academic lethargy, and to verify the mediating effects of depression and smartphone overdependence in the effects of negative parenting attitudes on academic lethargy. Methods To achieve this, data from 2,384 ninth-grade students from the 2018 Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and SPSS PROCESS MACRO 3.4 to conduct reliability tests, cor relation analyses, and mediation effect analyses. Results The results showed that, first, all variables negative parenting attitudes, depression, smartphone over― dependence, and academic lethargy were significantly correlated. Second, depression and smartphone over― dependence each had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between negative parenting attitudes and aca demic lethargy. Third, a sequential mediating effect was observed, whereby negative parenting attitudes influ enced academic lethargy sequentially through depression and smartphone overdependence. Conclusions This indicates that higher negative parenting attitudes lead to increased depression, which in turn heightens smartphone overdependence, which has a significant impact on academic lethargy. Based on these findings, practical approaches to reducing academic lethargy in adolescents were explored, and the need for edu cation and counseling to prevent and address depression and smartphone overdependence was discussed.
