외국인 유학생의 문화적응 스트레스 인식 수준이 학교생활 만족도에 미치는 영향: 학교지지의 조절효과

국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 국내에서 유학생활을 하고 있는 외국인 유학생을 대상으로 이들이 지각하는 문화적응 스트레스 인식 수준이 학교생활 만족도에 미치는 영향을 검증하고, 이 영향관계 속에서 학교지지의 조절효과를 탐색하는 것이다. 방법 서울 및 경기권에 소재하는 어학당 및 대학교 등지에서 유학생활을 하고 있는 외국인 유학생 200명에게 설문지를 배포하여 자료를 수집하고, 수집된 자료를 SPSS 26.0을 활용하여 요인분석, 상관분석, 다중회귀분석 등을 시행하여 문화적응 스트레스, 학교생활 만족도, 학교지지 간 인과관계를 분석하였다. 결과 외국인 유학생의 문화적응 스트레스 중 문화충격 및 향수는 학교생활 만족도를 저해하는 요인으로 작용하였고, 경제적 고민은 오히려 학교생활 만족도를 높여주는 결과가 도출되었다. 또한, 학교지지는 조절효과가 관찰되지 않았으나, 학교지지 중 교사지지의 경우 외국인 유학생의 학교생활 만족도를 높여주는 직접적 요인으로 작용하였다. 결론 외국인 유학생들의 학교생활 만족도를 높이기 위해서는 문화충격 및 향수를 줄일 수 있는 대안마련이 필요하다. 이러한 연구결과에 기인하여 본 연구자는 외국인 유학생을 대상으로 한 전문 상담프로그램의 개발 및 적용, 그리고 외국인 유학생들을 대상으로 한 전용 장학지원의 효과성 제고 등을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of the level of cultural adaptation stress perception per ceived by foreign students studying in Korea on school life satisfaction, and to explore the moderating effect of teacher support and friend support in this influence relationship. Methods 200 foreign students studying in language schools and universities in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province were surveyed to collect data, and factor analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed using SPSS 26.0 to analyze the relationship between cultural adaptation stress, school life satisfaction, and school support. Results The cultural adaptation stresses of foreign students, cultural shock and nostalgia acted as a factor that hindered school life satisfaction, and economic concerns rather increased school life satisfaction. In addition, no moderating effect was observed in school support, but teacher support among school support acted as a direct factor to increase the satisfaction of foreign students in school life. Conclusions In order to increase the satisfaction of foreign students in school life, it is necessary to prepare alter natives to reduce cultural shock and nostalgia. Due to these research results, this researcher suggested the devel opment and application of professional counseling programs for international students and the improvement of the effectiveness of exclusive scholarship support for international students.
