여성 독거노인의 사회적 고립에 관한 생애사연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 여성 독거노인들의 사회적 고립에 대한 생애사적 경험을 이해하기 위한 것이다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 2명의 독거노인이 참여했으며 심층 인터뷰 중심으로 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 생애사연구 방법으로 분석하였으며, 분석된 결과는 연구참여자들의 경험을 통합한 주제분석으로 제시하였다. 분석 결과 사회적 고립 경험과 관련하여 연구참여자 1은 20개의 하위범주와 4개의 주제가 도출되었다. 4개의 주제는 ‘고단한 결혼생활’, ‘경제적몰락’, ‘연이은 불행’, ‘독거생활’로 분석되었으며 연구참여자2는 18개의 하위범주와 4개의 주제로 도출되었다. 4개의주제는 ‘결혼과이혼’, ‘친정살이’, ‘종교활동’, ‘독거생활’이다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 여성독거노인들의 사회적 고립에 대해 심층적으로 이해하고 개입을 위한 실천적 방안을 제시 하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to understand the life history experiences of female elderly living alone regarding social isolation. To achieve this purpose, two elderly living alone participated and data were collected through in-depth interviews. The collected data were analyzed using a life history research method, and the results of the analysis were presented as a thematic analysis that integrated the experiences of the research participants. As a result of the analysis, 20 subcategories and 4 themes were derived for research participant 1 regarding her experience of social isolation. The 4 themes were analyzed as ‘difficult married life’, ‘economic downfall’, ‘continuous misfortune’, and ‘living alone’, and 18 subcategories and 4 themes were derived for research participant 2. The 4 themes were ‘marriage and divorce’, ‘living with parents’, ‘religious activities’, and ‘living alone’. Based on these research results, the social isolation of female elderly living alone was deeply understood and practical measures for intervention were suggested.
