국문 초록
본 연구는 포스트모더니즘의 디자인 특징을 분석하고 이를 현대 소품 디자인에 효과적으로 적용하는 방법을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 포스트모더니즘은 모더니즘의 절대성과 보편성을 비판하며, 상대성과 다양성을 강조하는 특징을 지니며, 전통적인 디자인 규칙과 경계를 허물고, 다양한 문화와 시대의 요소를 결합하여 독특한 디자인을 창출해왔다. 본 연구에서는 포스트모더니즘의 대표적인 작가들인 알레산드로 멘디니(Alessandro Mendini), 필립 스탁(Philippe Starck), 카림 라시드(Karim Rashid)의 작품들을 분석하여 포스트모더니즘의 디자인 특징을 구체적으로 살펴보고, 이를 바탕으로 연구자의 작품에 어떻게 적용하였는지를 탐구하였다. 따라서 포스트모더니즘의 디자인 특징을 혁신적 재창조, 대중 친화적 디자인, 미래 지향적 디자인의 세 가지 측면에서 분석하였다. 이러한 분석을 통해 현대 소품 디자인에 포스트모더니즘의 디자인 특징이 창의성과 새로운 관점을 제공할 수 있음을 보여주고자 한다.
영문 초록
This study aims to analyze the characteristics of postmodern design and propose methods to effectively apply these characteristics to modern accessory design. Postmodernism criticizes the absoluteness and universality of modernism, emphasizing relativity and diversity. It breaks traditional design rules and boundaries, creating unique designs by combining elements from various cultures and eras. This research analyzes the works of representative postmodern designers such as Alessandro Mendini, Philippe Starck, and Karim Rashid to examine the specific design features of postmodernism and explore how these features were applied to the researcher's works. Therefore, the postmodern design characteristics are analyzed from three perspectives: innovative recreation, user-friendly design, and futuristic design. Through this analysis, the study aims to demonstrate how the characteristics of postmodernism can provide creativity and new perspectives in modern accessory design.
