청원경찰의 감정노동이 이직의도에 미치는 영향: 직업소명의식의 조절효과를 중심으로

국문 초록

이 연구는 청원경찰의 감정노동이 이직의도에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로검증하고자 하였다. 청원경찰은 국가적으로 중요시설의 경비 업무를 담당하고있으나, 악성 민원인 등으로 인해 감정노동이 심각한 직업군이다. 이러한 감정노동은 이직의도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 선행연구에서 확인되었다. 하지만청원경찰은 경비구역만의 경비를 목적으로 필요한 범위에서 ｢경찰관직무집행법｣에 따른 경찰관의 직무를 수행한다. 즉, 청원경찰은 국가적으로 중요시설의경비를 책임진다는 직업적 소명의식이 중요시 된다. 따라서 이 연구는 청원경찰의 감정노동과 이직의도에 있어서 직업소명의식의 조절효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하고자 인천 및 경기 북부 지역의 청원경찰을대상으로 총 132부의 설문지를 조사하고 분석에 활용하였다. 분석결과, 청원경찰의 높은 감정노동은 이직의도에 정(+)적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 그리고 청원경찰의 감정노동과 직업소명의식의 상호작용항은 이직의도에 완충효과를 가져오는 것으로 확인되었다. 즉, 청원경찰은 업무를 수행하면서 가지는높은 감정노동은 국가중요시설의 경비를 책임진다는 직업적 소명의식으로 이직의도를 감소시키는 것이다. 이러한 분석결과를 중심으로 청원경찰의 직업소명의식에 대한 정책적 제언과 향후 연구 방향에 대하여 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study seeks to empirically verify the effect of petition police officers' emotional labor on turnover intention. Petition police officers are in charge of security work at important national facilities, but their job involves serious emotional labor due to malicious complaints. Emotional labor has been confirmed in previous studies to have an effect on turnover intention. However, petition police officers perform the duties of police officers under the Police Officers' Duties Act to the extent necessary for the purpose of security only in the security area. For petition police officers, the sense of professional calling of being responsible for the security of important national facilities is considered important. Therefore, this study aims to verify the moderating effect of a sense of vocational calling on the emotional labor and turnover intention of petitioning police officers. To achieve this research objective, a total of 132 questionnaires were surveyed targeting police officers in Incheon and the northern Gyeonggi region and used for analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that petition police officers' high emotional labor had a positive (+) effect on turnover intention. It was confirmed that the interaction term between petition police officers' emotional labor and sense of vocational calling had a buffering effect on turnover intention. In other words, the high emotional labor that petition police officers have while performing their duties reduces their intention to change jobs due to their sense of professional calling in being responsible for the security of important national facilities. Based on these analysis results, policy suggestions and future research directions regarding the sense of professional calling of petition police officers were presented.
