국문 초록

Objectives: This study was conducted to investigate happiness, depression and self-esteem which influence to college life adjustment in dental hygiene students. Methods: The participants were 209 dental hygiene students. Data were analyzed through the SPSS 20.0 program using ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. Results: The factors that influenced dental hygiene students’ college life adaptation are happiness (β=.423, p<0.001) and self-esteem (β=.218, p=0.006). The total explanatory power was 36.5%. Conclusions: It was found that happiness and self-esteem were influencing factors in dental hygiene students’ college life adaptation. So, it is necessary to develop programs and explore support plans that take into account happiness and self-esteem with the aim of increasing the dental hygiene students’ college life adaptation
